We now have policies, and are trying to impose new policies, that resemble repressive North Korea. That’s the first place I think of when you mention Internet censorship, and now my brain has to add America with it. If you like Internet at all, you’ll definitely want to sign this petition. This bill is full of loosely determined definitions of what is foreign and domestic when it comes to websites. Not only that, this allows for corporations like the RIAA to have nearly unlimited power. Free speech on the Internet will be blocked out. Also, they would be able to do this just about anytime they want, because nearly any website will have some sort of copyright material on it, but almost all of them don’t even mean to. If this passes, it’s just the first law of many that are designed to steal your global rights. This isn’t just for America, this is for the world culture that has spawned from the Internet. Stop censorship. Stop SOPA.
